It's official!
R. Porrofatto is the winner of the Atlas photoshop competition with the animated "Rug Lick". Here again, in all its glory:

There were a few more entries that came in after the voting had finished that really deserve to be seen. The first is from Ricardo:

That one leaves me nearly speechless. I wouldn't be surprised to see her appropriate it for her own blog, Ricardo.
The next two are from the The Culture Ghost:

Hmmm... a Pam made of Spam...
Anyway, R. Porrofatto, if you get in touch with me, we'll figure out your prize. A CD off of an Amazon wishlist maybe? A box of Rugelach? (R's joke, not mine, by the way) Shoot me an e-mail and we'll get it sorted.

What an honor! Thanks, but please, no prizes or awards. The mere knowledge that millions upon millions of people have gotten some pleasure, or in some cases, severe nausea, from my work is reward enough. Meeting Marita's artistic challenge wasn't easy, but for me, it was never about winning, it was about capturing the essence of Frau Atlas—Pam's ich, if you will—in a sickening rendition of her glossal frottage of the Bolton piece. My only regret is that such inspiration came at a price. I realized too late, having since gouged out my own wretched eyes to escape the hellish image, that no sane person should ever stare so closely, for so long, at the demon tongue of the Atlas harpy.
I only hope this will serve as a lesson to others, and especially, our young people.
Nice constest, Marita.
And it makes me happy to see the shrieking harpy at the top of teh google search, where she belongs.
Congrats, r. porrofatto. (Can somebody play the music to get him off stage now?)
